Our mission
Healthplex builds the modular, AI-native electronic health record platform we wish we had as clinicians and engineers. EHR software has a reputation for being complex, fragile, and years behind modern software practice. We think that is a solvable problem — if you start with the right architecture.
We built Healthplex from first principles: 30+ bounded-context modules — spanning the clinical record, a full health-ERP suite, and a platform-extensibility layer — with provably clean boundaries (verified on every pull request by Spring Modulith), multi-region compliance profiles that activate the right data-handling rules per jurisdiction, and an AI layer that is audited, gated, and PHI-redacted by default — not bolted on.
We are focused on the realities of clinical practice: fast key-path entry for notes, live bedside telemetry to the responsible clinician within 1 second, and specialty workbenches that show the right information for the right specialty — not a generic chart that every clinical role navigates differently.
How we work
Engineering-led
Product decisions are grounded in architectural coherence, not feature velocity. We enforce 19 non-negotiable cardinal rules on every PR. CI blocks merges that violate them. There are no exceptions.
No PHI-tied analytics
We do not run marketing pixels or cross-site trackers on this website. We do not mine patient data for advertising. Aggregated, de-identified usage analytics for platform improvement are governed by the Terms of Service and are disclosed in our subprocessor list.
Source-available where possible
Non-PHI tooling, design patterns, and architectural decisions are published openly where we can. The clinical data plane and customer-tenant data are never public.
Customer-funded first
We prefer to grow with customer revenue rather than VC funding that creates pressure to compromise on security or architecture. This may change as we scale internationally, but it is our default orientation.
Honest about certification status
We are HIPAA-aligned and GDPR-aligned — our architecture supports these frameworks. We do not claim certifications we have not completed. SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits are in progress.
Designed for clinicians
We do not treat clinicians as back-office data entry operators. Specialty workbenches surface the right information for the right clinician. Cardiologists see the heart. Nephrologists see the kidney. The platform adapts to the clinical context.
